Product information "Oase CrystalSkim | Skimmer"
OASE CrystalSkim - an innovative surface extractor / skimmer
After trimming the aquarium plants, tiny plant parts often remain in the aquarium, which are difficult to remove using conventional means. Fine plant parts in particular, such as individual stalks of Eleocharis sp., can often still be found in the aquarium days later. OASE now offers a convenient solution. The robust Crystal Skim not only removes plant parts, but also effectively removes the annoying film of scum (a mixture of bacteria and dust on the water surface). This promotes gas exchange and indirectly also the health of the aquarium inhabitants through an increased oxygen content in the water. The CrystalSkim motor can be individually adjusted and the flow rate can be flexibly regulated. The skimmer therefore cuts a fine figure in both small and large aquariums. Particularly worth mentioning is the integrated collecting basket, which protects the aquarium inhabitants from being sucked into the skimmer. The maintenance intervals of the CrystalSkim are also particularly long, as the built-in floating ring means that no water needs to be refilled for a long time.
