Cichlid Granules Herbivore is a 100% plant-based fish food in the form of sinking granules for herbivorous/herbivorous cichlids! This food contains an algae mixture consisting of 12% Chlorella, 12% Kelp and 2% Schizochytrium.
These three power algae are optimal natural sources of prebiotics and rich in vitamins and trace elements:
Chlorella, a supplier of iron, calcium, magnesium and zinc, supports fish growth.
Kelp from Canada - also a superfood in the human diet - is rich in natural antioxidants and provides fish with a variety of trace elements, vitamins and bioactive substances.
Schizochytrium algae provide OMEGA-3 fatty acids and two other important components: docosahexaenoic acid protects the eyes and the nervous system, and eicosapentaenoic acid supports brain function.
The algae are not harvested in the open sea, but rather cultivated in a controlled manner, which means that pollutant levels remain low. The farm also protects natural seaweed stocks, which continue to be available as a source of food and shelter for young fish.
